Too late she realised that Osan was actually an evil bakeneko ( #yokai cat). A second traveller also died from wounds inflicted by a giant cat. The last man alive finally understood what was happening and fortunately was able to overpower the evil cat spirit and kill her with his sword. 3/4

In #JapaneseFolklore ogama are giant forest-dwelling toad #yokai. It's believed that when toads reach 1000 years old they develop supernatural powers and become yokai. Ogama get increasingly more dangerous as they get older, often killing and eating humans.

I forgot to post last weekend's #ScreenshotSaturday so you get it today! The featured #yokai this time is wanyūdō, a fiery head within a flying wheel. Here he spins around the edges of the screen and shoots fireballs at the player. Leap around the swirling tempest and knock him out!
