Chikorita157’s Anime Blog Finally Turns 15 Years Old!
Another year went by so quickly. It has been yesterday since I wrote my 14th-anniversary post back in 2023. Today is Chikorita157’s Anime Blog’s 15th anniversary. Yes, my blog is basically a teenager now. It has gone a long way since I started the blog 15 years ago when I just started college.

@chikorita157 Looking forward to seeing if you are still watching anime on your fancy vision helmet by year 16:)
Yes, I still use it to watch anime on it. I have been basically watching all the anime I can on the Vision Pro and it’s better than dealing with the Apple TV and the barely working Hidive app. Also, the Projector probably uses more power than just watching in the Vision Pro and having the same screen size. However, the audio quality is not as good as the external speakers I have.
@chikorita157 No issues with scaling and aliasing and all such things?
Finally have the PSVR2 fixed, but I haven’t figured out how to watch something yet. Just looking at the big screen (that’s kinda where my TV is anyways) feels a bit of a letdown. But want to see what happens:)
(Not that I’m saying it’s the same experience as an Apple Helmet per se. Just curious of how well it does the scaling part :))
If you set the text smaller than the defaults, it can cause issues with it not being sharp, the same issues when you use 2440×1440 scaling on a 4K monitor. That is why 5K will be better for 2440×1440, although those monitors are expensive.
But I use a projector as my main setup, but the Vision Pro obviously looks better
@chikorita157 I love 5K, but can’t motivate the price for the Linux box for something like that. 1440 kinda sucks.
Tried watching “Did you know” from Hazbin Hotel on the PSVR2 and it wasn’t bad. Screen certainly is big. But it’s “just” a big screen in black to represent the TV you can’t see when not in VR mode. Because the OS isn’t in VR (why is that? What a fail on Sony’s part!) and the apps certainly aren’t.
But my TV *looks* better. But to be fair, it’s a good TV:)
I didn’t have any issues with scaling and aliasing though. So maybe those exist in my head. But I’m also not looking at UIs and text, which tends to be more sensitive.
