As a fantasy show (thank you for no unneeded isekai! And other malarkey.) I’d say that it’s above average. Doesn’t reach the higher highs, but definitely sits above a lot. It’s a bit thin in some ways but that is very much made up by Alina, which is the star of the show in so many ways.
She’s just a really big badass with actually interesting motivations. No power creep, no big random changes in personality, and it’s quite interesting to see an anti corporate theme from Japan.
Damn I wanted a second season. Then again here’s only five tankobons out.
