There are new 51 TV anime series that aired last summer compared to 45 this year.
I can't believe how bad this season is for the CGDCT and Yuri enthusiast, this is very depressing. Only two shows are viable (maybe besides Atelier Ryza, but I haven’t even started that game yet). This is probably the worst anime season ever.
Then watch like in fall, there is like 6+ shows for me to cover.
@chikorita157 yeah, it's one of the weakest seasons I've seen in a long time. There's 3 shows on my list, and I'm not particularly enthusiastic about any of them.
@chikorita157@sakurajima.moe Is Atelier Ryza meant to cover the same story as the game?
@yon If the Atelier Escha and Logy anime is what to go by, it’s probably going to be an abridged version of the story.

@chikorita157@sakurajima.moe Bummer, then I rather just play the game (I own the first one, but it's not up on the rotation yet).
@chikorita157@sakurajima.moe I find that games are better story telling devices than movies/TV. So given the option I rather play the game :)
And watching the show would just spoil the game basically.
Unless the game is very short on story, then I might make an exception:)
@yon I like have all three games on Switch I haven’t touch yet, and they are in Japanese. Got to use my Japanese skills for the JLPT, no using English for gaming whatsoever.
But now that I have the GPD Win 4 and a ROG Ally, I should have got the PC version, but I doubt the switch version isn’t that different graphically, also better battery life.
@chikorita157@sakurajima.moe I opted for Steam (i.e. for this Linux Desktop) because it seemed like it has the best graphical fidelity. It looks pretty good with a lot of settings high, and perfectly playable FPS.
I played like 5 mins to check these things out:)
Don't know how the ROG performs compared to a desktop (as I don't actually know, I haven't kept up:)).
@yon It’s roughly as powerful as a PS5 in TFlops (8.9 TFlops vs 10 TFlops on the PS5) at 15 W,. In most JRPGs, they run at a full 60 FPS.
I say the performance is close to a GTX 970, RX 480 or a GTX 1060. JRPGs in general aren’t that demanding to run anyway.
@chikorita157@sakurajima.moe It’s a pretty damn speedy machine! I say it matches my desktop in CPU (lags behind in memory, hard:)), which is honestly a bit humbling.
RX480 sounds pretty weak though, I’d expect it to be faster than that if it’s close to a PS5 otherwise (and that’s a good system to begin with), but maybe they went CPU before GPU.
Seems like some JRPGs lack, optimization. So more power is good.:)
Such a shame we can’t get SteamOS on it.
@yon Not too surprising since the RX480 came out in 2016 and AMD said this was their high end card when NVidia released its 10xx GPUs.
As for SteamOS, ChimeraOS kind of works on the ROG Ally, which is basically a linux distro for gaming. Sadly, a lot of things still don’t work on it. My guess it will get fixed pretty soon since the ROG Ally is now released to the public.
@chikorita157
not much better for me either, maybe I'm wrong and there's more than a surprise with the underdog shows
