@chikorita157 The unusual art style continues, and I think I’m getting more used to it. It fits in, if that makes sense.
Also nice that Yuzu isn’t played like the normal douche rival trope. It’s a tired trope after all.
But what stuck out to me was the utter lack of the MC trying magic. If I had a fancy magic pen I’d be practicing and trying constantly.
Not that they would have to dedicate several minutes per episode on it, but some would be nice. Now it just feels like she’s expecting someone else to fix it for her and she’ll just do magic one day. Makes her a bit less likable.
It’s a good thing that Yuzu is finally defrosting after making fun of Kurumi and acting stuck up. Makes you wonder if she realizes that she has something in common.
I don’t think Kurumi is trying hard enough, but she came very close. But it makes you wonder, why she is struggling as she isn’t practicing hard. No wonder she wants to give up when she tells Yuzu, except she isn’t making an effort, which is perplexing to be honest. Should be interesting to see what happens in the next episode.
@chikorita157 I applaud Yuzu being more interesting than “school rival”, aka horribly boring.
Also the one thing I’ve noticed with successful people is that they don’t ask and research, they do. Relentlessly. Because they want to do it so badly.
Sometimes it even pays off.
So it feels like she should be trying to make those circles constantly. :(
I mean it’s still a good show, but it would have been a nice touch.
Also was the digital magic book a mcguffin?
@yon @chikorita157@chikorita157.com Yep, there is more to Yuzu's story, which is in the latest episode review, when you have the chance to watch the episode and read the review.
@chikorita157 @chikorita157@chikorita157.com Probably Sunday. My schedule is erratic:/
