Not sure how the streaming situation is in Japan in regards to Anime. I wonder if there is more insight of how this might affect home video sales.
@chikorita157 Not much point in buying a DVD/DB if your only screens are a phone and maybe a laptop (without a DVD/DB drive).
I have no true idea how the streaming situation is in Japan, but I’d be surprised if physical media has any future. And subscriptions makes more sense than paying for individual licenses for an unknown amount of time that be terminated by the other party at will.
I am genuinely curious about what services they have over there apart from Netflix and maybe D+. Crunchy is Sony ironically, so I’m sure they don’t have it.
