This year's Summer event in Genshin is so much better than last year. Traveling those islands was such a headache.
@fujiwara But Fischl is the best… (disclaimer that I had stopped playing by then lol)
@SweetAmelia I like Fischl a lot! Not enough to ever suffer through that again though.
@fujiwara sumeru mostly killed my interest in genshin. I'll maybe try playing it again after Fontaine
@averagebaka I was excited for Sumeru, and it is really cool, but it is way too overwhelming. There's just so much to do there, but not really in a good way I guess?
@fujiwara yeah. Sumeru being too big kinda killed my interest in it. Like I could never fully explore it because it's way too big. Another thing I hated about sumeru were the character conversations. Most of it was fluff and seemed really dragged out. Don't even get me started on the boss fight
@averagebaka I haven't gotten super far into it yet, to be honest. My interest in the story is kinda waning so I can't even tell you what's going on. I really like playing the game though, but I'll agree that it's dragging on...
@fujiwara IMO initial part of sumeru has very high highs and very low lows. I haven't played the main story since the scaramouche boss fight. I hear they have a dainsleif quest after that so maybe that's something to look forward to
@fujiwara I completely agree! Both events last for 40 days, but last year I managed to explore less than half of the content on these islands during this time, it was exhausting. And this year, I explored everything 100% in less than a week because I was so interested
@pine I was partially burned out around the summer event last year but honestly just in general it was just really boring! I didn't finish it.
I am about half way through this one but it is a lot of fun! I really only play at work but I find myself playing a lot more lol
