@ivaliya am aware i have nothing to add but i cannot emphasise this enough cause holy shit that is breathtaking
@maehwacha It really is. Every time I see pages from it, I'm in awe at mangaka's skills
@ivaliya These are just spectacular artworks :O
I think this one of the best parts of manga making. Have a person stuck in one page for a looong time just to admire the art. Because manga _is_ art :)
@ntoyohito Agree, manga IS art. The more I read it, especially older titles (like classic shoujo from the 80s), the more I'm amazed at how skillful the artwork is
@ivaliya
I have found no "new" mangaka that has blown my mind in the last few years. Maaaybe witch hat attelier but not sure if she qualifies as "new". Which is really sad :( (All my inspirations originate in 90s or early 2000s)
@ntoyohito I also tend to gravitate more towards older titles but certain modern mangakas still manage to impress me, Kamome Shirahama is definitely one of them. Very often I may initially find arwork a bit quiky but then fell in love with it regardless. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder so it'll always be subjective
