I am trying to avoid #Amazon. Is there any comparable online #bookstore in Europe that sells #English-language #books? I sometimes buy at Worldofbooks in the UK, but they only sell used books and sometimes I want to read something before it hits the used book market. I am in Germany, but would happily pay a little extra for shipping from other EU countries instead of ordering at Amazon.

I’m thinking of fundraising for my book trailer. Husband thinks we should move forward with a mobile bookstore.

I guess I'm on a bookstore kick this week so here are some more cool book store photos. This time it's Old Capitol Books in Monterey, CA. It's a pint sized used bookstore.
I shot these with with an ultra-wide angle so the shop looks a lot roomier than it really is. In reality, it's about the size of a studio apartment and the photo of the storefront shows almost the entire store.
What jogged this memory was doing some photos recently at Lighthouse Books in Monterey, CA, but they're not one of the two book stores from my story. I'm just posting these because they're cool photos of books.

I also accept free trials from #audible and use those to grab exclusives.

I'm sure all of you know this, and not everybody can do this, but supporting your locally-owned stores keeps your communities vibrant, and helps slow the encroaching monopolization of everything. Especially good to support your indie bookseller. #ShopLocal #bookstore
