This is an article I wrote recently about how the bookstore categories are not really helping in finding stuff you want to read and how I think that readers, authors, and publishers could profit from using keyword and trope tags instead.

How does one/can one approach small independent bookstores about getting one's books sold by them?
In your experience, are they open to sexy stories - I'm thinking my erotic romance novellas. And maybe the novel I have planned for next year. Like. It probably won't happen, but I've never looked into it and was wondering if anyone has experience (or a bookstore...)

i abandoned my Kindle Vella serials in March after they changed the payment/royalties agreement to increase the amount of free material we were being asked to provide...
it seemed like a bad sign...
