Today's Is from Kamen Rider Zero-One episode 27, which might be my favorite episode of the series so far, for multiple reasons.
The episode also had so much gravity to it that I wasn't sure if I'd find a good pose from Is to highlight this time! A sentiment which oddly enough ties into the scene where this pose comes from.

It's been a while since I saw something and thought, "I need to make an animated GIF of that!", but Is from Kamen Rider Zero-One just gave me one of those moments with this puzzled expression she gives in episode 23.

Just finished a mini-arc of Kamen Rider Zero-One which seemed like a case from Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney, and it looks like the next part of the story is something out of the pages of Chobits.
Setting aside for a moment the fact that the main appeal of Zero-One for me in the first place was that it reminded me of Chobits. 
My normal Kamen Rider Zero-One viewing schedule has been disrupted recently, but I finally finished the first arc and am heading into the second. It's quite timely of the series to have a techbro as the next major antagonist.

After only three episodes of Kamen Rider Zero-One, I'm already faced with my biggest dilemma: Is my favorite character Is or Yua?
(The answer is both, at this point.)
Only two episodes into Kamen Rider Zero-One, and I like where it seems to be headed. The Chobits vibes are definitely still there but that's not a bad thing.
I'm also getting shades of Ultraman R/B, in the sense of "how did THIS guy end up being the hero?!". 
And the groundwork has already been laid for the Rider fight for this series.
Lots to look forward to!

Normally I alternate between Ultraman and Kamen Rider as I dive ever deeper into the world of Tokusatsu. (Yes, I'm still thinking about formally adding Super Sentai into the mix, but not yet...) Black Sun was sort of a special case though, so I'm going forward with another Kamen Rider series, this time a more "traditional" one: Kamen Rider Zero-One.
Quite a while back, I caught part of a random episode of Zero-One on the Tokusatsu channel on Pluto TV, and it immediately grabbed my interest because with what was going on in that particular scene, I thought I was watching Chobits for a minute! The idea of a Kamen Rider in a technology-oriented story seemed intriguing to me, so I put Zero-One on the back burner until I could get to it and watch it properly from start to finish. Now is that time, so Kamen Rider Zero-One, here we go!
(Actually, I'll still get my Ultraman fix once a week with Arc starting this weekend!)
I picked up a used copy of the Kamen Rider Zero-One western comic (not paying for it new, largely morbid curiosity) and uh... holy shit there's one hilarious thing in it.
GRANDPA HIDEN'S APOCALYPSE REBOOT SYSTEM
You see Zea was knocked offline briefly by a solar flare, which it mistook for a cosmic level disaster that would wipe out all human life on Earth. Great.
From there, it activated and: "This Reboot system stores all Kamen Rider data, in the case humanity ceases to exist, there will always be a way for future entities to protect the Earth." And as part of this, creates a Kamen Rider Ragnarok who's job is to go around and kill any "abormal or defective" Riders who survived the apocalypse. And there's a Thousand Key containing the INFO OF ALL RIDERS.
The priorities on display here of what to do about an apocalypse and the fact it's basically Kamen Rider Don Killer is incredible. XD
