King in Limbo by Ai Tanaka.
Didn't expect the sci-fi mystery josei about diving into people's mind to work for me 'cause of the sci-fi factor but it really did. Love both main characters, love their dynamic, love the problem and the way it unraveled. "Cool" is probably the best word to describe it.
Even though I shouldn't be surprised that I liked this manga since I also enjoyed Apple Children of Aeon by the same author though the stories have absolutely different vibes. Both take turns I didn't quite expect, not plot twists as such but rather the direction I didn't think they'd follow
