Sometimes online I see lists of "butch anime characters" and the characters in question look like Princess Diana.

The girlprince is a classic anime archetype, but there are women in anime who aren't princes, they're just normal dudes who happen to be women. And rather than being androgynous, they clearly fall into the masc camp.

Examples: Martha Shobbeypower from Souko no Strain and Caroline Raiden from the Space Battleship Yamato 2199 sequels.

I don't have anything against girlprinces, I like them, I just wonder why characters who are more undeniably masc get left out of these lists.

am I a #butch woman? or am I #NonBinary?

Its difficult knowing. Being a #trans woman it feels kinda difficult to try on the identity of "butch" because it feels like I immediately get erased as a dude.

But then equally, I'm not entirely certain being 100% cis feels 100% right either.

One of the things that sucks about being a #butch #trans woman is that… idk, the bar for me being seen as a woman seems annoyingly high, and difficult to attain. Like I wanna look like a butch woman but people still percieve me as a guy. Just hope that in time, as the effects of #HRT increase I’ll be gendered correctly more

Oh hey #lesbianvisibilityweek! After years of questioning the specifics, it's comfortable to definitively say I'm a one-a those.

I feel like i am still on my own learning journey. I was stuffed into the trans man category and it never really felt right. I identify as a trans masc soft butch these days but have been afraid to say it bc of online vitriol. I’m tired of trying to fit in w men who dont want me, and in fact, actively other me.

I am not a woman either, but i feel more woman aligned when i am allowed to be masculine. I’ve always been obsessed with butches and dykes, probably bc i see myself in them, but relentless bullying has made it hard to get here. So i guess for this week i’ll be visible.

Bless all the fag dykes and butches that have helped me see myself in them. Bless all the older lesbians who arent afraid of being themselves. (If you dont like the word usage, im probably not talking about you and you can keep on scrolling!)
